I was asked numerous times this week how I feel about the election results. Each time I responded with one word.
Then I would be asked if I voted for Donald Trump, and if so, why.
Yes, I voted for President-elect Trump for these reasons that give me hope from a political view:
1. Supreme Court nominations
2. Religious liberty
3. The abortion issue
4. The economy
5. Protection of Israel
The next seventy days are critical. An outsider who has never been an elected official must put together a leadership team and begin to function in a deeply divided national political environment. Americans who pray must intercede for the new president and those around him. Americans who voted Trump must reach out to the 50% who did not.
This is not a time to gloat or protest. Much is at stake.
Take a look at the Pledge of Allegiance. We are ONE NATION UNDER GOD WITH LIBERTY AND JUSTICE FOR ALL. Be reminded that this is the goal. We have never attained it but we work toward it.
America is at a reset. Fall on your knees and ask God to guide the new President. It is there I find my hopefulness.
