VBS, School of Tyrannus, and NAMB

by  / 1 Comment / Filed under

The month of June finds us half way through the Year of Discipleship at Olive. This week we are in Vacation Bible School. On day one we enrolled over 1100 children. This is a great start to the week. Be praying for Thursday, as we have the evangelism day and share a Gospel presentation and invitation.

The School of Tyrannus continues this Friday evening as I teach on the sovereignty of God and the free will of man. Join me at 7:30pm in Passmore Hall. This informal time includes Bible teaching, Q&A, and a prayer time. August 6 will be the last night of the school. My good friend, Mike Licona, will be our guest that evening. He serves at North American Mission Board in the apologetics division. He also is the mind behind the NAMB website www.4truth.net. I encourage you to check it out. It contains some great resources for defending the faith.

Speaking of NAMB, I ask that you continue to pray for me as I chair the search committee for the new president of the North American Mission Board. Our team is moving into high gear following the adoption of the GCR report. This will help us with direction for the entity. Your prayers are essential in this task.

  1. Dr Traylor, I am earnestly praying for you about the next leader of NAMB. Through the years we have seen highs and lows, but as I’ve heard you preach to us pastors before, “Our God is Able”. Amen! Look forward to seeing you at our Awesome August revival on the 23rd. – Pastor Danny Crosby, Mt Pleasant Baptist Church, High Springs, FL brotherdanny@gmail.com
