If we are a follower of King Jesus, we are to name Him as Prophet, Priest, King…Potentate of all in our life. If He is our king, then our King has given us some marching orders in the greatest sermon ever preached. We call it the Sermon on the Mount.

We live in a world of the multitudes, but as disciples of Jesus, the Son of God, we are invited to come out from the masses and sit at His feet. And what do we learn there? I believe the answer is found in the key verse, Matthew 5:48. “Therefore you are to be perfect, as your Heavenly Father is perfect.” Perfection simply means that we are to be mature and complete through the power of God living in us.

This series is based on what we know as the Beatitudes, directives, if you will, that point us to the goal Jesus sets before us.
