Jesus is the peerless intercessor. No one prays like Jesus prayed.
Prayer was the spiritual air that Jesus breathed every moment of His life. In these three sermons on the prayers of Jesus we are shown insightful understanding of the nature of prayer.
In John 17 Jesus prays for our preservation from moral evil, that we will be set apart for God's divine will and service and that there will be unity among the people of God.
Matthew 6 records what many have called the Model Prayer. He teaches us the perimeters within which we must base our prayers if they are to make an eternal difference.
Finally, in Luke 22 we find Jesus bowing in submission to the Father's will. From His example we learn to come face to face with the "cup of self-abandonment" and pray to the Father, ".yet not my will but Thine be done." In so doing we will receive supernatural aid and empowerment to accomplish God's purpose for us.
