God’s Cone of Certainty

by  / 4 Comments / Filed under

Looks like Isaac is headed toward the Florida Panhandle. Forecasters give us estimates as to where it will make landfall. Computer models take into account the surrounding weather circumstances. They are often very accurate but not always. Thus, we have the cone of uncertainty. It is a wide guess at the future direction of a storm.

God does not estimate. He is always accurate. His followers can live within the cone of certainty because he promises to always be with us. Isaiah 43:2 says,

“When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; And through the rivers, they will not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be scorched, Nor will the flame burn you.”

Through hard times, trials, and even hurricanes God will take care of his people. Hold onto his word before, during, and after stressful times.

One thing is always certain. God is faithful.

  1. Believing it to be so, because I know so! Good word!

  2. Bro. Ted, I needed to hear this message. I’m a member at Olive and am presently going through bad time. Just been diagnosed with liver cancer and will see an Oncologist Monday. Please send a sweet prayer to our Lord for me and my family, who also are Olive members.

Thank you and God bless you and yours.

  3. What wonderful words of encouragement from God’s word. Thank you pastor

  4. Good evening Pastor,
Thank you for your message today about unity. It is so timely and relevant for each one of us individually and as the Church collectively. While I wish my immune system was working properly so I could go to Church here in Virginia, it is a wonderful blessing to be able to tune in to Olive’s services on Sunday. So thank you and know that you and the entire Olive family is in my prayers, especially as Isaac heads into the Gulf and moves North.
