We are nineteen days into the new year. How are your resolutions working out? Exercise? Bible reading? Eating habits?

This Sunday I will be preaching regarding the fourth of the Eight Callings of God. This week is self-control: the calling of service. This calling helps us with persistence.

My good friend Andy Andrews signs most of his books with his name and the word PERSIST! Written above it. If a person is out of control, then self is served. Only when self-control is developed can one practice persistence.

Let me encourage you to be in small group and corporate worship this Sunday at Olive. We will learn self- control.
