Heading to Israel Today
May 20th, 2008It is Tuesday morning and Liz and I are almost ready to go to the airport. There are 78 of us on the way to Israel this afternoon. I am never the same when I return from the land of the Bible. There is so much to see and learn. Kneeling to pray on the Mount of Olive is worth the trip. And worship that includes the Lord’s Supper at the Garden Tomb is soul-stirring. Pray for our group that we will draw closer to Jesus on this journey.
The Ministry Village is moving forward. Sheila Reed is beginning her work as our Fund Development Director. Pray for her to be wise and successful as she connects with individuals who can help us with funding for the effort. On Monday I was interviewed for 30 minutes for a television show that will air later this week on Channel 4. They wanted to know all about the village and why we were moving in this direction. People all over the city have contacted my office. It is encouraging to watch as people get on board.
