Good morning from Roanoke. Leo Day and I are leading an evangelistic event here through Wednesday evening. The people of First Baptist Church have been gracious and we are watching the Holy Spirit work in many lives. Dr. Bryan Smith is doing a marvelous job pastoring this church family and reaching the community with the Gospel of Christ.
Today we are off to Lynchburg as we have been invited to teach at Liberty University. Many of you remember that Olive’s former Minister of Music, Dr. Vernon Whaley, is now the Director for the Center of Worship at Liberty. He has recently been recovering from an automobile accident and appreciates the many prayers you have lifted for him and the cards and emails of encouragement you have sent. I look forward to spending today with my dear brother.
Continue to pray for us over the next several days. Tonight is the men’s rally and tomorrow we conclude with an evening service. Leo and I would certainly appreciate a nice delay-free day of travel on Delta on Thursday. Last Saturday at the Atlanta airport was an adventure to say the least!
