Texas Friends and Weekend for Teens

Friday, February 27th, 2009

I have just arrived back in Pensacola after a quick trip to Texas. Wednesday night I had the honor of preaching for the closing service of Radiate 09: Come Into the Light at First Baptist Church of Malakoff. Pastor Nathan Lorick did a marvelous job in coordinating this dynamic event and I felt right at home among his gracious people.

Thursday was great as I spent time with Elijah Soritau and his family. Many of you have prayed for his daughter Tori‘s cancer treatment during the last several years. She is doing great and the Soritau family is preparing to return to Romania in the days ahead. Continue to pray for them as they resume their ministry with Emanuel University.

DNow is in full swing this weekend. There is a move of God among our teens as He is preparing a generation of Kingdom leaders. I am grateful for staff members Jeremy Lloyd, Brett Lee, and Sandy Fones who serve faithfully in this area. This event could not happen without the Olive members who are graciously opening their homes to our youth. You are appreciated!
